First, the tool inspection method

The test lamp inspection method is more suitable for checking the open circuit fault condition of the wire. When using the temporary test method, you should pay attention that the power of the test lamp should not be too large, especially when testing whether there is output from the control output terminal of the electronic controller and whether there is sufficient output, to prevent the controller from overloading and damage. It is best to use a diode test lamp.

Visual inspection method

When a part of the car's electrical system fails, abnormal phenomena such as smoke, sparks, abnormal sounds, scorching odors, and high temperatures will occur. Visual inspections of automobile wiring harnesses and electrical appliances are performed by hearing, touching, smelling, and seeing the human sense organs, and then determining the location of the fault, thereby greatly improving the speed of maintenance. For example, when a car line fails, abnormal phenomena such as smoke, sparks, abnormal noise, scorching odor, and high temperature often occur. Through visual inspection, you can quickly determine the location of the fault and the nature of the fault.

Third, the wire jumper inspection method

The jumper method is to use a wire to short the suspected faulty line, observe the indicator pointer changes or the working condition of the electrical equipment, and then determine whether there is a broken circuit or poor contact fault in the circuit. Jumping refers to the operation of connecting two points of two kinds of circuits with one wire. The potential difference between the two points of the bridged circuit is zero, not a short circuit.

Fourth, instrument inspection method

A method for diagnosing automobile circuit faults by using instruments such as a comprehensive fault diagnosis instrument, a multimeter, a wave generator, and a current clamp. For electronic control system cars, the comprehensive fault diagnosis instrument is usually used to find the fault code to confirm the vehicle fault range; then use a multimeter, current clamp or non-wave device to check the voltage, resistance, current or waveform of the relevant circuit to diagnose Failure point of harness wires.
