The new standard ensures that it continues to help organizations improve business processes, save costs and address future environmental challenges. Environmental experts from more than 70 countries participated in this revision, and the revised standards were integrated into a series of updates to help organizations deal with changing business conditions - from climate change to supply chain management.
ISO 14001 provides a framework for organizations to reduce the impact on the environment, reduce waste, and conserve energy while the business is growing and growing. ISO 14001 can also help companies more innovative, improve the management system process, to meet the relevant regulatory requirements, enhance the business in the eyes of investors, customers and the public credibility. Ultimately, this new standard will help companies keep pace with changes in the environment, ensuring that they are always in a leading position.
Changes to ISO 14001: 2015 include
1, the new high-level structure (HLS) using all management system standards common terminology, definition, title and text, in order to implement a number of management systems to achieve easy integration
2, for senior management, is a new opportunity to further ensure that environmental management is integrated into core business processes and objectives
3, to re-focus on the risks faced by the organization (eg price fluctuations in raw materials) and the opportunities associated with these risks (higher resource efficiency)
4, the new thinking of the organizational environment to help them understand the environment and the impact on the environment, but also to understand environmental issues (such as: climate change) on the impact of their own.
