The metal hose is developed for the development of high-speed and heavy-duty locomotive. It has good softness, fatigue resistance, high pressure resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and many other characteristics. If the weld seam leaks during train operation, it will endanger the safety of the train, so the welding quality of the metal hose is very strict.
    Take a look at the two major problems in metal hose welding
    1) Burn through
    Since the bellows and the net sleeve are made of extremely thin materials, in the welding process, as long as the welding arc stays longer between the thin walls, the bellows and the net sleeve are burned through, the hose The seal after fusion at both ends is unqualified. At the initial stage of trial production, the pass rate of the air tightness test was quite low. It was found through inspection that the leaking gas escaped between the joint sleeve and the net sleeve. For this situation, the welding personnel are first required to pay attention to the operation method during the welding process, and the welding arc should be biased to the thick wall side to ensure good fusion but not burn through. Secondly, an airtight inspection process is added to check the fusion quality of the bellows, the mesh sleeve and the joint sleeve. After passing the test, the welding of the hose and the joint is performed. Practice has proved that the qualification rate of the airtightness test of the metal hose after welding has been significantly improved.
    2) The deviation between the joint and the center line of the bellows is large
    There is no special positioning mold for joint welding and bellows spot welding. It is impossible to ensure that the center lines of the two joints coincide. The welded joints deviate from the center line of the bellows and affect the appearance of the product. In view of this situation, the assembly tool can be made to position the outer diameter of the joint and the joint sleeve, effectively solving the problem of large deviation of the center line.
