During this period, China has successively built a number of small-scale experimental demonstration projects. The domestic CSP equipment manufacturing industry has achieved considerable development, and the industrial chain has gradually grown and become more complete.

On September 30, 2015, the National Energy Administration issued the "Notice on Organizing the Construction of Solar Thermal Power Generation Demonstration Projects", and the application for the demonstration project began immediately. The total installed capacity for this demonstration project was approximately 8.832 million kilowatts, with a total of 111 As of November 16, 2015, the review of the demonstration project has ended. The development of these demonstration projects marks that China's CSP market has begun to enter the intensive development period of large-scale demonstration projects.

At the end of 2015, China's cumulative total of 139,000 kilowatts of CSP projects was far from the planned target of 1 million kilowatts during the 12th Five-Year Plan period.

At the end of 2015, the total installed capacity of CSP stations that had been connected to the grid worldwide was 4.94 million kilowatts, and China's installed capacity was 13,900 kilowatts. The "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" for the development of solar power generation clearly puts forward China's installed capacity targets and industrial development targets by the end of 2020.
