Yuan Chengyin believes that high-capacity ternary materials and artificial graphite are the mainstream positive and negative materials in the current technology research and development of high-energy density batteries. He judged that high nickel materials will be the mainstream in the future, lithium iron phosphate is expected to continue to expand its share in the low-cost market, and solid-state batteries may become an important development direction.

In this regard, Zhang Jiujun, academician of the National Academy of Engineering of Canada and dean of the Institute of Sustainable Energy of Shanghai University, also expressed similar views. He believes that improving energy density, power density, and life is still the focus of research in battery development, and low-cost high-performance electrodes and electrolyte materials are key factors.

Compared with energy density and performance, Qian Yitai, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of the University of Science and Technology of China, pays more attention to high-safety water-based ion batteries. He believes that lithium-ion batteries have made significant progress in power batteries, but organic electrolytes have potential safety hazards. The application of electric bicycles and energy storage still needs further research. Water-based ion batteries are highly safe and are expected to gradually replace lead-acid batteries.

The reporter noted that in recent years, under the influence of subsidies and energy density, passenger car batteries have gradually switched from lithium iron phosphate to ternary lithium batteries. However, with the cancellation of local government subsidies, the national subsidy standard has been reduced by more than 50%. The cost advantages of lithium iron batteries are gradually becoming prominent.

Since 2020, the concept of "cobalt-free" has ushered in a big explosion. According to Pan Hua, deputy general manager of GEM Co., Ltd., the cost of the cobalt-free layered cathode material is relatively low, and it shows certain advantages in price-sensitive fields. It is expected to have better applications in electric two-wheelers, energy storage and other fields. prospect.

"In the global development of new energy vehicles led by China, pure electric vehicles will undoubtedly become the core development trend. At present, the proportion of pure electric vehicles in my country's new energy vehicle market has further increased, reaching 67%.
