Director Li said in his speech that in today's world, resources and the environment are important conditions for the sustainable development of mankind. Therefore, promoting the new energy industry and promoting the green development of society is an inevitable development trend in the future. my country's new energy vehicle market is the world's largest new energy vehicle market. It will reach the production and sales target of 5 million vehicles by 2025, and the annual installed capacity of power lithium batteries has reached 70GWh. At the same time, the retired power battery in 2020 has also reached 25GWh. If these retired batteries are not properly recycled, it will endanger the environment and waste resources.
Although the power battery industry is booming, it still faces many problems. Li Li pointed out in his speech that the current six major challenges facing the power battery industry.
First, the restraint mechanism needs to be strengthened urgently;
Second, the recycling system has not yet been established;
The third is that key technologies need to be broken through;
Fourth, industry standards still need to be improved;
Fifth, the industrial layout is unreasonable;
Sixth, talent training is relatively lagging
At the end of the speech, Director Li hoped that today's meeting could gather more wisdom and consensus, promote the complementary advantages of all parties, and achieve win-win cooperation through the joint discussion of the key points and difficulties of battery recycling by all parties in government, industry, university and research.
Cui Yan, deputy secretary general of the China Association of Materials Recycling, gave a speech entitled "Classification and Code of Waste Batteries" and "Interpretation of National Standards for Recycling Technical Specifications of Used Batteries". Cui Yan mentioned that in recent years, with the joint efforts of the government, society, renewable resource industry associations, and industry enterprises, the standardization of the renewable resource industry has made phased progress. After searching, up to now, there are 158 national standards in the field of renewable resource recycling and 27 national standards under development. It has effectively promoted the large-scale and standardized development of the resource recycling industry, with an output value of up to 2 trillion yuan, effectively reducing land occupation and ecological safety risks caused by solid waste storage.
Next, Yang Junfeng from the Battery Energy Storage Research Office of the CCID Research Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said in his speech "Prospects for Echelon Utilization of New Energy Vehicle Power Battery Energy Storage" that with the new infrastructure, electrification process, energy structure transformation and power system reform Further deepening, lithium battery energy storage will usher in explosive growth. It is estimated that by 2025, the cumulative installed capacity of lithium battery energy storage in my country will reach 50GW (36 times that in 2019), and the market space will be about 200 billion yuan; it is expected to reach 600GW (430 times that in 2019) by 2035, and the market space will be about 20,000 Billion.
Li Jie, member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Sichuan Shehong Economic Development Zone, explained to everyone how Shehong Lithium can seize opportunities and grow steadily based on three advantages. He also introduced that by 2021, the basic lithium salt production capacity of Shehong City is 85,000 tons, the cathode material material reaches 100,000 tons, the cathode material precursor production capacity is 100,000 tons, the anode material production capacity is 20,000 tons, and the high-purity graphite roasting capacity is expected. 40,000 tons and 1,000 tons of lithium metal capacity have become the leading material distribution center in China.
Finally, Yang Qingyu, Deputy Secretary-General of the Battery Special Committee of China Green Supply Chain Alliance, said in a speech entitled "Echelon Utilization of Power Battery Market and Application Development (2020)" that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has successively issued the "Comprehensive Utilization of Waste Power Batteries for New Energy Vehicles" Related management policies such as "Industry Standard Conditions" and "Guidelines for the Construction and Operation of New Energy Vehicle Power Battery Recycling Service Networks" all involve the management of cascade utilization. In October 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Administrative Measures for the Echelon Utilization of New Energy Vehicle Power Batteries (Draft for Solicitation of Comments)", and the echelon utilization management has become a policy focus. Some pilot places further encourage and support the exploration of cascade utilization technologies and business models.
