"Five big and four small" who is the vanguard? Ranking of wind power and photovoltaic installed capacity of 21 listed state-owned state-owned enterprises

On the whole, the listed companies belonging to the "Five Big and Four Small" are the vanguards in the development of wind power and photovoltaic fields. In the first half of 2021, China Resources Power, Huaneng Power International, and Datang New Energy have installed photovoltaic and wind power capacity exceeding 10GW. Among them, the total installed capacity of China Resources Power's wind and solar power is 14.7GW, Datang New Energy 12.2GW, and Huaneng International 11.3GW.
China Power, Guodian Power, Datang Power, Jilin Power and Shanghai Power followed closely behind, with installed capacity exceeding 6GW. Shanghai Power, China Power and Jidian are all listed subsidiaries of State Power Investment.
In addition to state-owned enterprises, local state-owned enterprises such as Jingneng Clean Energy, Shenzhen Energy, and Zhejiang New Energy have installed capacity of more than 1GW.
Separately, in the photovoltaic field, as of the first half of 2021, there were 13 companies with installed photovoltaic capacity of more than 1GW. China Power, CECEP, and Jidian ranked the top three, with installed capacity of 4806MW, 4310MW and 3509.1MW, respectively. In addition, the installed capacity of Shanghai Electric Power, Jingneng Clean Energy, Beijing Enterprises Clean Energy, Beijing Energy International and Huaneng International have all exceeded 2GW.
In the first half of 2021, Shuifa Industrial has about 484.4MW of grid-connected solar projects, and 68.1MW of projects are yet to be connected to the grid. In the first half of 2021, China Southern Power Grid has installed a total of 340MW of photovoltaic installations.
Looking at wind power installed capacity, Huaneng Group, National Energy Group, and Datang Group listed companies are in the forefront of wind power installed capacity. Longyuan Power’s installed wind power capacity is as high as 22.4GW, China Resources Power’s 13.8GW, Datang New Energy’s 11.1GW, and Huaneng International Wind Power’s installed capacity. 8.6GW, Guodian Power’s installed wind power capacity is 6.7GW, and Datang Power’s installed wind power capacity is 4.6GW.
Among the listed state-owned enterprises listed in the statistics, 13 companies have installed wind power over 1GW.
In the first half of 2021, all wind and photovoltaic assets of Huadian Power International have been injected into Huadian Fuxin. According to the semi-annual report, its installed wind power capacity is only 399MW.

From the perspective of the proportion of clean energy, Longyuan Power, Guiguan Power, China General Nuclear Power New Energy, Shenzhen Energy, Jilin Power, and Shanghai Power Clean Energy account for more than 50%. Among them, Longyuan Power is far ahead with 92.5%, and Guiguan Power Clean Energy accounted for 89%, and CGN New Energy accounted for 79.8%.
From the perspective of power source composition, China Longyuan Power, as a major wind power producer, has also been developing the photovoltaic sector in recent years. According to the financial report, in the first half of 2021, Longyuan Power signed a new development agreement of 23GW, with an additional approved (recorded) capacity of 3200MW, of which wind power There are 5 projects with a total of 545MW, and 24 photovoltaic projects with a total of 2655MW.
The power structure of Guiguan Electric Power is dominated by clean energy. Clean energy such as hydropower and wind power accounted for 89.04% of the company's installed capacity. Among them, the installed hydropower capacity reached 10,227,600 kilowatts. Wind power is gradually taking shape and the proportion of thermal power assets is small.
It is understood that starting from the second half of 2020, CGN New Energy’s new equity installed capacity for wind power projects will be 1131.6MW, and the equity installed capacity of new solar projects will be 207.8MW. As of June 30, 2021, CGN New Energy's equity installed capacity reached 7,723MW, of which wind power and solar energy accounted for 55.2% of the equity installed capacity.
